Look For Me In Rainbows

Hey...
This is going to be a bit of a personal blog where I tell you what is going on in my real life right now.
My dad is really sick and two days ago. we had a sprinkle of hope but earlier today he called me and he told me that since the surgery he had, he was in a lot of pain and he has got to have surgery again today.
He said that if he will not get out of it alright, he does not want to be reanimated.
The way he has been living the past few weeks is hardly living and he does not want it to be that way for the rest of his life.
I can understand that and I would have the same if I was in his shoes but I do find this a very very hard pill to swallow.
I have lost several parental figures in my life and my dad is the last living one.
He is only 64.
Too young to go.
Who is going to walk me down the aisle if I ever get married?
I had always dreamed it would be him if I'd ever get married in real life.
Now that might not even be the case anymore...

When my stepmom passed away there was this song that was played on her funeral.
It is Look For Me in Rainbows by Vicky Brown.
This song always makes me cry but it also tells me that death is not the end and we will meet again in the stars.

My dad is not gone yet and I hope with everything inside me that he will get through this surgery.
That he will get better and that he will be the one to walk me down the aisle if I get married.
But... If things go bad... Then I will look for my dad in rainbows and in the stars.
