Witches and Familiars

 In a lot of TV shows about witches, you see that they have a familiar.
Usually a cat.
A familiar can be any animal as it is said that a familiar of a witch is a protector and/or it gives guidance to witches.
In Egypt, cats are sacred and believed to be magical creatures.
They say cats bring good luck to the people who housed them.

I identify as witch, or pagan rather and I have always felt a connection with cats, so maybe a cat would be my familiar.
Or goats.
I really feel peace when I visit the goat farm.
