A Ghostly Dinner

 Once upon a time there was an eldery lady, she was a widow and she missed her late husband dearly.
One night, she wandered around on her mansion grounds and she passed by the gazebo where her and her late husband used to have their romantic dinners on a warm summer evening. She noticed something odd and she had to blink twice to see if her mind was not playing tricks on her. What she saw was a floating plate on the table and she thought she saw the spirit of her late husband.

She felt startled but also felt some kind of safety, because if it was really him then she would have a chance to talk to him again.
She slowly approached the table and a silhouet appeared. She called his name in a whisper and the ghostly figure replied. "Yes my love, it is me" he said.
His voice sounded like an echo but she felt joy and happines to hear his voice once again.
She sat down on the chair next to him and they talked about all the memories they had together. He smiled at her and said that they could have these moments every day should she want to.

You see, the lady was old and she had lived a good life. But now.... It was time.
Her time...
She held his hand and looked into his eyes.
True love really is forever and goes beyond life and death.

The lady had passed away and was reunited with her husband to live on forever in their paradise.
Leaving behind an table, with empty chairs.
The plate remains floating for eternity...
