Butterfly Fly Away

 Today I will share something a little bit personal about me. The me behind the avatar.
As a kid I basically grew up without a father. Not by his choice.
It was such a struggle for me when I was at school and I had to make fathers day gifts, but I didn't have a father around to give it to. There are so many more things I can talk about that I missed, but that's better for a journal and not for a blog.
I can tell you that it was hard for mini me.

When I was 15 I went to search for him, and I found him.
Things were never easy when I was living with my mom, so I wanted to live with my dad and my stepmom.
That journey was hard and I really had to fight (in court too) to let them know what I really wanted.
I succeeded and I finally got to know my dad and got a bonus mom (my stepmom) with it, who was wonderful.
May she rest in peace.

I want to let everyone know that it is important for a child to have both a mother and a father figure, so keep that in mind if you are a parent and you are seperating from your partner.
Think of the needs of your children too. It's important!
